Monster Hunter: World Capcom’s Greatest selling game of all time turns two this week and we’re all invited to the party. Released on January 26, 2018 on Playstation 4 and Xbox one, and PC on August 9, 2018, Monster Hunter: World quickly climbed the ranks to the best selling Monster Hunter game to date with an astonishing estimated 2.4 million sales in its first week.
Now, two years later, Capcom is inviting all of its hunters to join them in the Grand Appreciation Fest. Starting on January 23rd and running through February 13th, this event features a ton of rewards for hunters to celebrate with, including new layered armor to change the look of existing armor pieces. New outfits for your NPC characters and daily rewards such as items and discounts on special meals that hunters can take part in before each hunt are also available.
Additionally, nearly every special limited time hunt that has been launched in the past, known in game as an “Event Hunt,” are once again live and ready to be tackled if you happened to miss them the first time through. On top of that, each of the two main hubs in the game, Astera and Seliana, have different decorations and different rewards, so be sure to check out each location during your travels.
With its two year anniversary coming hot off the heels of its latest expansion, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, it has been a great year for fans of the series. For more details on the Grand Appreciation Fest and other news you can head over to https://www.monsterhunter.com/world-iceborne/us/news/.
Now, if you’ll excuse me I need to put on this party hat and cut a slice of cake with my Dying Light Longsword before I head out on my next big hunt. Until next time, Happy Hunting!
